Drew is a year old

I cannot believe how time has flown. Drew turned a year a month ago and I am barely getting around to writing his 12 month update. We packed up all his Stats already, getting ready a box at a time for our move. At his 9 month appointment the doctor was just a little concerned that he wasn't gaining a lot of weight. When we went in for his 12 month check up he had gained a little but not as much as the doctor thought he would. The doctor said, "well maybe he is just going to be a tall and lanky kid." He said to try and give him lot's of food with fat and calories. Stuff we wouldn't normally eat. Feed him cream instead of milk, lot's of sour cream, cottage cheese. He's not really a good eater but he loves milk which is so different than Blake who wouldn't even drink milk after I stopped nursing him and still to this day won't drink it.

Drew is taking about 5 steps and then he falls
He loves being around Blake, most of the time
Blake and Drew enjoy doing the following together:
Chasing, spitting, wrestling,  screaming, & Blake pushing Drew around in stroller, wagon, & jet ski
Drew says go, uh oh, mama, more, and can mimic many sounds
He loves to be outside
He loves milk, Yogurt, & Pizza
He can feed himself pretty good
Drew wakes up usually 1 or 2 times a night and is usually inconsolable
He loves to go swimming and take baths
He is pretty quiet and calm when Blake isn't around to rile him up
He is really good at taking naps, he takes a 2 hour nap from 9-11am and 1-3pm and goes to bed at 6:30pm and wakes up 6:30am.
He has the most adorable smile and we love him so much
We are so glad he was able to join our family

Happy Mother's Day

I am so grateful to have a wonderful Mother who is a great example and best friend. She has sacrificed so much for me and is always giving. She has amazing faith and always relies on the Lord. I am so blessed that Heavenly Father sent me to her, I could ask for a better Mother.

Not only do I have a wonderful Mom but I also have a wonderful Mother-in-law who raised my amazing husband.

I am so grateful that Heavenly Father sent me two sons so that I could be a Mother. All my life I wanted to grow up to be a Mom. I love being a Mom most of the time. Especially days like today. Even though I struggle with being a good Mom and I have no idea what I am doing I am trying my best and we all make mistakes, that's how we grow. The primary sang us some songs. It was so sweet. Blake was nervous going up there. He wanted me to go with him. So I walked up there with him and I told him I would sit on the front row while he sang but he didn't want to go up so we just listened to all the other children sing. When they were done singing we walked back to our seats and Blake ran and then purposefully fell on his belly. Embarrassing, yes it was a little but then I just laughed and thought I am so lucky that I have a kid and that I get to be his Mom. Sitting up on the front row holding Blake while the other children sang was so special to me because I knew Blake loved me and I felt the song through his heart. Louis helped Blake write me a card. I love the card and I want to remember what it said.

Why I Love my Mommy

  • She is so nice to me.
  • She is good at watching me at the TV.
  • So Good
  • I love her eyes.
  • I like her pretty hair.
  • She makes me Macaroni and cheese.
  • She is so nice
  • Takes me some places
  • Puts me in Bath
  • Let's me watch TV all day
  • Let me play with my cars
  • She takes me at the mall
  • She takes me swimming right now
  • She is good at painting
  • Drew " She lets me eat cake"
  • Good at turning the lights on and off.
I am so blessed to be a Mom and have a husband to help me and that appreciates me. Even though I am not Louis' Mom he still treated me so nice and changed diapers, cooked for me, and watched Drew during the meetings. What a treat :)

California Adventure

Blake on the shuttle bus.  He liked the bus ride as much as the other rides, because he did not have to be in a car seat.
 The entrance.

Waiting in line for the cars ride.  We were in line for almost 2 hours.  It was ridiculous.  Blake and dad had to take a potty break.
 Finally, in the cars ride.
 Radiator Springs

 The jumping jelly fish.

Blake in the Bugs Life Theater.  He got really scared on this one because the movie spits water on you and bugs (stuff that feels like a bug)  move across your seats.
Nicole and I both rode this fast roller coaster.  It was a blast.

Blake was out after about 9:45 pm.
Color show with water and fire.
